3rd Annual A Day Behind (Handle) Bars

September 28, 2019

On September 28th, the APD and CAPA joined hands for the 3rd Annual Apex PD A Day Behind (handle) Bars. This 100 mile ride shows support for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics North Carolina.

Since 1968, Special Olympics has been changing attitudes about the talents of people with intellectual disabilities.

By supporting this campaign, people are helping fund nearly 40,000 athletes all across North Carolina compete in 19 different types of sports. More importantly, they are giving them opportunities to demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
